Channel 4 Intranet
Brief
Channel 4 tasked Clock with redeveloping their Intranet. Based on an old platform, the site had become tired and unusable. They needed a new application to enable quick communication and to foster an increased community spirit within the company and each department. The design needed to conform to strict brand guidelines and become an exemplary piece of internal branding.
Interpretation
To fit with Channel 4's progressive and trend-defining brand, Clock proposed utilising the latest web development techniques and creative approaches to deliver a truly interactive business and community tool.
Solution
Using an agile development methodology, Clock worked closely with key stakeholders to better understand the various requirements of the business and deliver a truly ground-breaking solution.
As well as acting as a fully-functional business tool, the intranet is customisable and uses collaborative document management systems to enhance the communication of useful content. i.e. it's really easy to find the stuff you need and add to it.
Users can customise, as well as drag and drop, multiple panels which draw in content from numerous internal and external sources such as TV listings, travel information, weather, blogs, news feeds, events, notice boards; you can even order lunch!
Results
Extremely well received by Channel 4 and importantly Channel 4 staff; the Intranet was hailed as a triumph for internal communication!
